Deer at the Old Moat

The Old Moat Natrure Reserve is an area of land in between the river Hiz and the railway. It is owned by the Wildlife Trust of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire in collaboration with ACORN. The area is managed under a stewardship agreement with Natural England.

Once associated with the ancient Manor of Arleseybury.

The Natrure Reserve sits to the north of Arlesey just west of the railway station. it is entered via a gate by the old bridge next to the station.

The nature reserve is due to be linked to the Hicca Way (click here to see our feature) which will open a footpath linking Arlesey with Ickleford. The path will open on 22nd July 2012.
